ILM level 3 Award in Management of volunteers
This course is for people who manage volunteers and would like to improve their skills and knowledge in writing volunteer agreements and supervising and supporting volunteers.
The 2 training sessions on 18 and 25 January 2022 from 10.00am - 12.30pm. Plus an assignment support session on 1 February 10.00 am-12.20 pm. The sessions will be delivered online via the Zoom platform. Once registered you will be sent details closer to the time.
18 January 2022 - Managing volunteer agreements (delivered by Volunteer Now):
It is more important than ever to ensure good practice when involving volunteers, during this short session we will together learn and describe what the key differences are between an employee and a volunteer, ensure that your organisation produces volunteer agreements and not contacts of employment, look in detail at good practice in the recruitment process for volunteers and describe good practice when developing volunteer agreements.
25 January 2022- Supervising and supporting volunteers (delivered by NICVA):
We have been facing new challenges as we supervise and support our volunteers. This session will describe how you can provide effective support to volunteers, develop their skills, motivate them, celebrate achievements and communicate feedback. There will be opportunities for sharing experiences and discussing issues together.
1 February 2022 - Assignment support session (delivered by NICVA)
This session will talk through the ILM requirements and assessment criteria and help you prepare for the completion of your assignment.
To achieve the ILM Level 3 Award in Management of Volunteers you will need to submit two assignments on the topics above. Submission deadline for the assignment is 1 March 2022.
You can register for the sessions separately without accreditation and they are £35 members and £50 non members each. Or you can do all three sessions with the accrediation which is a total of £300 for members and £430 non members. This includes assignment support, marking assignments, ILM registration, IQA, ILM certification.
