Would you like to improve how you manage your volunteers? Would you like advice on developing volunteer agreements as well as how to support and motivate volunteers? This course over 2 dates will provide you with the knowledge and skills to manage your volunteers more effectively. It has been designed specifically for our sector by NICVA and Volunteer Now and provides you with a recognised ILM qualification.

This course is for people who manage volunteers and would like to improve their skills and knowledge in writing volunteer agreements and supervising and supporting volunteers.

2 training sessions on 2 and 9 February 2021 from 10.00am - 12.30pm. The sessions will be delivered online via the Zoom platform.

2 February 2021 - Managing volunteer agreements (delivered by Volunteer Now):

In the New Environment we find ourselves in (COVID-19), it is more important than ever to ensure good practice when involving volunteers, during this short session we will together learn and describe what the key differences are between an employee and a volunteer, ensure that your organisation produces volunteer agreements and not contacts of employment, look in detail at good practice in the recruitment process for volunteers and describe good practice when developing volunteer agreements.

9 February 2021- Supervising and supporting volunteers (delivered by NICVA):

We have been facing new challenges as we supervise and support our volunteers. This session will describe how you can providing effective support to volunteers, develop their skills, motivate them, celebrate achievements and communicate feedback. There will be opportunities for sharing experiences and discussing issues together.

To achieve the ILM Level 3 Award in Management of Volunteers you will need to submit two assignments on the topics above.

You can register for the sessions separately without accreditation and they are £35 members and £50 non members each. Or you can do both sessions with the accrediation which is a total of £220 for members and £320 non members. This includes assignment support, marking assignments, ILM registration, IQA, ILM certification.
