ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (May 2023) **REGISTRATION CLOSED**

This qualification is designed for middle and senior managers, helping them to develop further their skills, increase confidence and improve their performance. There will be activities, personal reflective exercises and an application of knowledge into skills practice that encourages personal development and leadership. To benefit from the learning you must manage or supervise at least one member of staff.

This programme is funded by The Department for Communities as part of the Cost of Living response. It will be delivered over 9 weeks in May and June. The training sessions will be on Thursdays either in NICVA or online, you need to attend all sessions. There are also online assignment support sessions on four Tuesdays that you need to attend. The programme also requires self-study and completion of assignments, so you need to build in time for this. It starts with an online induction on 4 May 10.30am-11.30am. The timetable is below.

  • Leading the organisation

Assessment

You need to achieve at least 37 credits for an ILM level 5 Diploma. There are 4 assignments and one presentation as detailed below:

  • Becoming an Effective Leader – assignment including a Personal Development Plan
  • Managing your own Continuous Professional Development – assignment including completion of your own CPD plan
  • Improving your leadership through action learning – assignment and participation in at least 2 action learning sets
  •  Making professional presentations – completion of a workbook and preparation and delivery of a recorded 8 -10 minute presentation to your peers

When you register for this course you are committing to attending all the sessions and completing the assignments. If you do not complete the qualification and assignments you will need to pay for the ILM registration (£200)
