Learn how to manage the fall-out from a crisis before it happens. Handled well, damage can be limited, handled badly and it can have a huge effect on reputation and fundraising efforts.

The training will cover:

  • Planning for a crisis
  • When a crisis happens - How to respond
  • Creating a tailor made crisis strategy
  • Gathering the right spokesperson
  • Use real examples to learn from

The training is only open to NICVA members taking part in our MediaConnect programme and is aimed at the spokeperson or communications person within the organisation.

Nick Garbutt 

Nick Garbutt is the editor of policy magazine ScopeNI, former editor of the Irish News and deputy editor of the Belfast Telegraph. He now has his own communications consultancy and has been heavily involved with the local voluntary sector for more than a decade.
