29 June 2022 -
10:15am to 11:15am

Join us at the next Public Affairs Forum event to hear from those who were involved in All Party Groups during the last Assembly mandate. We will hear what worked, what didn’t and how the process of engaging could be improved.

“All Party Groups provide a forum by which MLAs and outside organisations and individuals can meet to discuss shared interests in a particular cause or subject.”

The role of All Party Groups in the Northern Ireland Assembly can help promote engagement and knowledge exchange within the legislative and policy development processes.

The aim of this event is to enable policy and public affairs professionals from across the Voluntary and Community Sector an opportunity to hear from those who have engaged with APGs, listen to their experience and perhaps understand how things work well and how they could work better.

  •   Introduction - Geoff  Nuttall, Head of Policy & Public Affairs , NICVA
  •   Aoife Hamilton, Employers for Childcare, APG on Early Years and Childcare
  •   Stephen Browne, Red Cross, APG on Preventing Loneliness
  •   Discussion / Q&A
  •   Close

Each speaker will provide an overview of the APG they worked with, strengths, difficulties and what if anything was achieved via that process of engagement.
