5:00pm to 7:00pm

With an increasing emphasis on the importance of good governance, voluntary boards are dedicating time to examine how effective their boards actually are.

This session is aimed at those working with or on boards to help them identify ways in which governance may be reviewed in a voluntary organisation.

The training will:

  •  look at various methods of carrying out governance reviews including board evaluations
  •  consider ways in which organisations can be proactive about planning for governance
  •  examine succession planning
  •  explain how to use the skills audit more effectively.

This training has been arranged in the early evening to suit those who work during the day.  Tea/coffee and sandwiches will be available from 4.30pm and the training will start at 5.00pm.

To celebrate Trustees' Week, NICVA is offering this free session to help trustees' to think about how they can make a positive change to governance in their organisations.
