Supporting Mental Health in the Workplace ONLINE

Primary tabs

27 May 2020 -
10:00am to 1:00pm

Promoting the positive mental health and well-being of people is one of the most pressing issues of the modern workplace. Of course, ‘good’ employers want to look after their people, and take care of both their physical and mental health. However, this can be easier said than done. We are planning to deliver this online.

This session will be delivered online through a recorded webinar which will be sent to those who have registered by email on 27 May.

People with good mental health are more likely to perform well, have good attendance levels and be engaged at work.

Taking simple, practical steps to better support the mental health and well-being of people at work can help control the frequency, severity and duration of ill health.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this seminar participants will be better equipped to:

  • Understand the key concepts relating to mental health.
  • Identify the law and key legal obligations.
  • Outline and use the ACAS Framework to better promote positive mental health at work and the case for taking action.
  • More effectively manage health related workplace issues.

This session has been developed and will be delivered by the Labour Relations Agency and we are delighted to offer it free of charge to NICVA members.
