TQUK Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) **CLOSED**

Registration closed
22 April 2020 - 10:00am to 13 May 2020 - 4:00pm

This ever popular course is back and some changes have been made to help learners improve their teaching practice. The Level 3 Award is designed for those working towards a teaching/training qualification or for those who don't want to take a qualification but want more information about how to teach/train effectively, for example, in your workplace if you train people as part of your job either in groups or as individuals.

There will be an online induction for this course on 2 April. Once you have registered you will be sent a GoTo Meeting link which will enable you to log on to the session from your desk.

* Training will take place on:

22 April, 29 April, 6 May, 13 May

Over the four days learners will be taken through the full process of teaching and training - known as the training cycle.  We have designed activities to help you think about how you teach and practical activities that will help improve your delivery.  The first three days cover the following areas:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a teacher

  • Barriers to learning and strategies to overcome these

  • The learning cycle and learning styles

  • Session Plans and schemes of work

  • Assessment types and methods

  • Visual aids and support

On the fourth day you will be recorded delivering a 30 minute microteaching session to your peers.  This will form part of your assessment along with three assignments required to achieve the level 3 award.

Please note, this course is aimed at those working in the voluntary and community sector in NI.

“This is the essential course for all individuals who wish to learn or upskill. I learnt so much in a practical and engaging way, and my day to day work has improved. Thank you.”

- Rachael
