These 6 pre-recorded wellbeing sessions specifically designed for the community sector are free to access and suitable for all levels of staff and volunteers covering: Stress and Anxiety; Getting a Good Night's Sleep; Alcohol, Other Drugs and Coping with Covid-19; Anti-Stigma and Mental Health Awareness; Mental Health and Stigma Awareness for Managers; Burnout.

You only need to register once to gain access to all these webinars.  The end date has been extended until Wednesday 31st March.   Please register as soon as possible to be able to access to all webinars up until 31st March 2021.

These 6 pre-recorded wellbeing sessions specifically designed for the community sector are free to access and suitable for all levels of staff and volunteers covering: Stress and Anxiety; Getting a Good Night's Sleep; Alcohol, Other Drugs and Coping with Covid-19; Anti-Stigma and Mental Health Awareness; Mental Health and Stigma Awareness for Managers; Burnout.  Details of the each session is listed below.

1. Stress and Anxiety (30 minutes)  

In this introductory session, participants will gain an enhanced understanding of stress and anxiety; to consider the causes; and identify the range of signs and symptoms. It will focus on how we can look after our own health and wellbeing during COVID-19 and other times of unexpected trauma. 

2. Getting a Good Night’s Sleep (30 minutes)  

Sleep plays a vital role in good health and wellbeing. This session will examine the importance of sleep as well as the signs and symptoms of sleep deprivation; understanding the sleep cycle and learning how to manage sleep difficulties.  

3. Alcohol, Other Drugs and Coping with Covid-19 (1.5 hours) 

Participants will learn about the impact of alcohol and other drugs in the workplace, unit calculations, processing times and the impact of alcohol on physical and mental health. The session aims to help reduce stigma associated with using alcohol and other drugs by introducing harm reduction strategies and raising awareness. 

4. Anti-Stigma and Mental Health Awareness (1 hour)  

Just like physical health, we all have mental health. It controls how we manage our day-to-day life and the stressful situations we face. As we face the challenges of COVID-19, it is more important than ever that we have the tools, skills and strategies to manage and look after our mental health. 

5. Mental Health and Stigma Awareness for Managers (30 minutes) 

As we adapt to new ways of working and communicating, now more than ever it’s important that managers are aware of staff’s mental wellbeing, are equipped to support staff in working remotely, and are confident in having a supportive conversation with one of their team who maybe experiencing a mental health problem. 

6. Burnout (10 minutes)  

This short 10 minute video introduces the topics of Burnout, Compassion Fatigue and secondary anxiety and depression and is an introduction to the 6 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Programme of Live Webinars.
