Brexit & Beyond
Through this campaign, NICVA is representing the sector’s concerns about Brexit and helping the sector meet the challenges of changing international frameworks as well global trends in society.
In June 2016 the UK voted to leave the European Union. Following the commencement of the formal Brexit negotiations a year later, we are still learning what the impacts of this could be.
There are many unanswered questions and concerns around issues such as the impact of different Brexit scenarios on future social, economic and citizen's rights, environmental protection, employment law, all-island arrangements for health and energy, and VSCE funding, as well as the wider implications for peace, stability and social and economic well-being.
Whilst answers to these questions remain unclear at this stage, this hub will seek to provide information and updates as and when they are available. We will collate relevant articles, statements, and questions relating to the process of the UK leaving the European Union.
