All Inclusive Antrim Community Choir

All Inclusive Antrim Community Choir

All Inclusive Antrim Community Choir established in 2012, gaining charity registration 2015 exists to bring together the voices of our community. Singing together we celebrate our diversity. Every voice is welcome. We meet every Monday night for rehearsal for 2hrs every week from September to June every year Relocating our rehearsal venue in September 2023 to The Community Hall at St Josephs Antrim. We are taught to sing by a Phenomenal professional musical director to learn new songs and practice old ones. In doing so we not only educate ourselves in music, we also forge a sense of belonging and form new friendships, having fun, thus building social interaction reducing isolation and supporting good emotional and mental wellbeing. We are an adult non audition choir 18 years old and beyond. We support new members and all members, especially when times are hard. We have an understanding flexible approach in paying 'dues' each week to allow all to attend. All of our activities are organised by an elected voluntary committee whose time and efforts are all for the good and purpose of the choir. The word thankyou doesn't come close to convey how much they are appreciated. Every year we decide on new projects and public performances: these will demonstrate cultural interaction and cooperation to the public and once chosen we rehearse them every week. We organise fund raising activities such as ballots and activities at local venues self helping to keep our finances sustainable. We also apply to statutory bodies for financial help with project costs. We help and learn from and share learning with other community choirs .Most important with the pressures of everyday life on families and people we provide and inspire time out for all of our members in all situations of stress and caring responsibilities .We take every opportunity we can to visit other areas and take part in events which bring people together. When we were established in 2012 our hope and vision has always been through song, to begin to redefine the word 'Community' which in Northern Ireland is often used to separate and differentiate ,while our approach is to build relationships, build confidence learn new skills singing all over the land showing what a united community can achieve, that hope and vision is still as strong today. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things. You could be part of it ?Have a look at our web site and face book .
