Lisburn Leo Talking Newspaper

Lisburn Leo was founded in 1976. It is a charity, providing a service to blind and sight-impaired people in the Greater Lagan Valley area. The charity fulfils its purpose entirely through the involvement of volunteers. Lisburn Leo is a Talking Newspaper, providing a CD of local news each week to those who are blind, sight-impaired or otherwise unable to read visually presented information. CDs are recorded each week and distributed by the Post Office to those people on our list of listeners. The service is provided free. Beneficiaries of our service have visual impairments; they have been referred to us or have indicated their wish to use our service; they reside or have resided in the Greater Lagan Valley area.
