The Joint Forum Voluntary and Community Group (VCG) is made up of 15 representatives from around the sector. The VCG meets with the government departments three times per year as the Joint Forum. The VCG also meets independently before each Joint Forum meeting. We’ll provide updates on the work of the group here.
The Voluntary and Community Sector panel got together last Tuesday 17 October ahead of the Joint Forum meeting between the public sector and voluntary and community taking place on Friday 27 October 2017.
The new Voluntary and Community Sector Joint Forum panel has now been appointed and the had their inaugural meeting on 19 May in Girdwood Community Hub.
A new VCG was selected in April 2017 by a sub group of the NICVA Executive Committee and the new membership spans the sector.
The Joint Forum is comprised of public sector and voluntary and community sector individuals.
The Joint Forum is comprised of representatives from across government and the voluntary and community sector. It facilitates an open discussion about the relationship between the two sectors.
The Joint Forum is made up of representatives from central and local Government (Public Sector Group) and the Voluntary and Community Sector (Voluntary and Community Group).
VCU is initiating a review of its arrangements for supporting the Voluntary and Community Sector through the Regional Infrastructure Support Programme (RISP) to ensure arrangements are fit for purpose for the next 5-7 years.
The Joint Forum met for the second time this year on Friday 15th May.
