A glimpse inside this impressive space, imaging what this ambitious city centre project will become when it opens in 2030 as a public space, visitor attraction and creative hub. Thanks to the VCSE organisations who joined us and engaged in a lively conversation around how they can influence and shape the project. And thanks to the Belfast Stories Team for sharing the plans.

Public Consultation Ends on 23 February
The aim of the consultation is to promote the project, raise awareness, gain community buy-in, ensure Belfast Stories is inclusive, and to gather feedback on current design thinking and plans to inform the next phase of the project. There is still a chance to have your say before the Public Consultation ends on 23 February:

What is Belfast Stories?
Belfast Stories is all about sharing stories from people who have lived in and visited Belfast – past and present. People will take their own journey through stories that are told in many different ways – interactive, audio-visual, musical, printed and in ways that are yet to be imagined.
In 2030, Belfast Stories will open in Belfast city centre on the 5,000 square metre site where North Street and Royal Avenue meet including the Art Deco former Bank of Ireland buildings. Belfast Stories brings together three threads as one – a public space, visitor attraction and creative hub.
- A public space – a place for everyone to gather, helping us to express our unique identities and share them with others.
- A visitor attraction which clearly communicates the spirit of the city - its past, its present and its future.
- A creative hub where writers, musicians, artists and film makers can meet to create and collaborate.
The landmark development was announced in December 2021 and is the flagship project in the tourism and regeneration strand of the Belfast Region City Deal programme of investment.
