The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund, a UK-wide grant-giving Trust, is keen to receive more applications from Northern Ireland based organisations for their scheme opening in April 2025.

Their focus since 2024 has been to support projects working with young women and girls with a history of offending or who are at a high risk of registering a first offence.

Vic Southwell, Director

“As a funder focused on improving outcomes for young people either already in contact with the criminal justice system or on the edge of it, we would like to increase the number of applications we receive from Northern Irish organisations. Our focus for the coming year is young women and girls and we are keen to hear from organisations with experience of working with young women and girls aged between 11 and 30, to either reduce their offending behaviour or avoid a first conviction.

“Our first round in the spring will focus on supporting organisations led by and for women and girls and our second round in the autumn will also be open to organisations who work with at least 80% of their total beneficiaries being women and girls. Please get in touch if you wish to discuss an application once our funding window opens in early April.”

Applicants must be a registered charity, a not-for-profit social enterprise or a community interest company working within the UK, with a UK office. There is no maximum annual income threshold for applicants who can apply for grants of between £10,000 and £80,000 for a duration of 12 months to two years. A maximum of £40,000 per year can be requested.

More information about the criteria and how to apply can be found on their website: www.triangletrust.org.uk.
