Insight Exchanges: A New Way to Connect, Learn and Shape Change

Last updated
15 September, 2025

At NICVA, engaging with our 1,500 members is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we launched Insight Exchanges – a new way to bring members together to connect, share experiences, and have honest conversations about the issues that matter most to our sector.

Each Insight Exchange focuses on a single theme and is delivered in partnership with a NICVA member organisation. By doing this, we make sure the discussions reflect the real challenges and opportunities across our sector and across Northern Ireland. These events are your space to connect with peers, hear from sector leaders, and help shape the conversations that guide our work.

What’s Happened So Far

Our first Insight Exchange in August 2025 focused on Banking – a growing challenge for charities and community groups. We brought together sector leaders, the Charity Commission, and political representatives to share evidence, highlight the impact of poor banking services, and work together on solutions. The session showed the power of coming together with a shared voice to drive change.

What’s Next

Next, we’re turning our focus to strategy. Join us on 25 September 2025,for Strategy That Works on the Ground. In partnership with Clanrye Group, we’ll explore how organisations can turn strategy into meaningful day-to-day action while staying true to their values. We’ll also share an update on NICVA’s emerging strategic priorities – due to launch later this year – and invite members to feed into its final shape. Plus, you’ll have the chance to connect with peers and discuss how you embed strategy and values in your organisation.

These events are for NICVA members – staff and trustees – and we want them to be shaped by you. If you have ideas for future topics, or would like to partner with us and host a future Insight Exchange, get in touch with Leeann Kelly at [email protected]
