Through this collaboration, we are providing tailored coaching and mentoring support to grantees of the Oak/CFNI Housing and Homelessness Fund, helping individuals and organisations build confidence, capability and long-term sustainability.
Investing in People
Over the coming year, NICVA will offer personalised coaching and mentoring sessions to individuals within each funded organisation. Led by our experienced team, these sessions will be shaped around the unique challenges, opportunities and ambitions of each participant, ensuring meaningful, practical support where it is needed most.
About the Housing and Homelessness Programme
This latest phase of the Housing and Homelessness fund, launched in April 2025 and is funded by Oak Foundation & the Community Foundation for NI. It is focused on addressing the root causes of housing insecurity and homelessness across Northern Ireland.
It supports innovative, community-led projects that not only respond to immediate needs but also work to amplify the voices and experiences of those directly affected.
To date, the programme is:
· Supporting 17 projects
· Investing over £834,000 (with further funding to be allocated in December 2026)
· Tackling key issues including: violence against women and girls, support for refugees and asylum seekers, mental health and complex needs, early intervention and prevention, emergency accommodation
Building Capacity, Strengthening Impact
NICVA is looking forward to working alongside these 17 organisations, building strong relationships and supporting their ongoing development. Through coaching and mentoring, we aim to:
· Strengthen organisational capacity
· Help identify and address key gaps and organisational priorities
· Support long-term sustainability of vital services
Ultimately, this work will ensure that grantees are even better equipped to deliver essential support and create lasting change for people experiencing housing insecurity and homelessness.
