The Royal Countryside Fund, founded by His Majesty King Charles III in 2010 when The Prince of Wales, has launched a new strategy intending to raise £15m over the next four years.

RCF wants to be the countryside charity of choice for people living and working in rural and farming communities across the UK, and for those who care about helping them secure a sustainable future.

They seek to grow their UK-wide activities, specifically through developing their work on a county basis in England by focusing on the most rural areas, while building an equally distinctive offer in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

The new £15m strategy aims to accelerate its scale and reach, enable measurable change, and support more of the countryside in all four nations.

Highlighted in the strategy is its intention to support a further 2,000 farms and invest £3m in rural community-led projects through a new grants programme opening this autumn.

This programme will support rural communities in increasing their resilience, sustainability, and financial viability, helping them develop the skills and solutions they need to survive and thrive.
