This session has been designed for anyone who needs to understand how AI can support their social media efforts.  It is a practical session in which you will learn how to use AI tools to brainstorm ideas, create content, and improve efficiency.  It will be important also for feeling confident in incorporating AI into your social media strategy while maintaining a human touch.

This session will be delivered by Ashleigh Watson, a leading social media strategist, trainer and the founder of Copper Square, a digital marketing agency specialising in purposeful, people-first communication.  She is a training consultant with Channel56. This session is part of our Communications Training Series.

Anyone participating is asked to bring your own laptop or tablet and be able to access your organisation's social media platforms.

Learners will be shown a range of AI tools for social media sich as ChatGPT, Canva, and Grammarly.  The following content will be covered in this practical half day session:

AI for Content Ideas and Planning 

● How AI can help generate post ideas tailored to specific audiences

● Using AI to research trending topics and hashtags

● Demonstration: Generating a month-long content calendar with AI tools

AI for Content Creation

● Writing compelling captions and post copy using AI

● Creating visually appealing graphics and videos with AI design tools

● Demonstration: Crafting a complete social media post using AI

AI for Optimisation and Scheduling 

● Optimising captions and hashtags for higher engagement with AI recommendations

● Using AI to analyse the best times to post and target audience preferences

● Demonstration: AI-powered tools for scheduling and automating posts

Trainer Bio

Ashleigh Watson is a marketing professional with over 20-years’ experience working at a senior level specialising in marketing strategy and communications. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge of developing and delivering integratedmarketing campaigns using digital and traditional techniques. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Vice-Chair of the CIM Ireland Committee. Ashleigh was named a Top Five Advisor in Social Media in the UK and Ireland (Enterprise Nation 2022).
