The Charity Commission has published guidance for charity trustees of smaller charities experiencing financial difficulties due to COVID-19 emergency.
The Commission recognises that some charities are experiencing serious financial challenges and has produced guidance to help the trustees take some practical steps to manage their charity. The guidance covers
- Assessing your charity’s current financial situation
- Identifying when your charity is at risk of running out of funds
- Developing a recovery plan
- Charity trustee liability
- What to do if your charity cannot continue to operate because of the impact of COVID-19
