NICVA calls for January participants for North Belfast interface-based Transformative Leadership Programme

January 2022 dates have now been set for the Transformative Leadership Programme (TLP) in North Belfast

“An excellent ‘big picture’ look on leadership in a bite-sized format delivered in a really down to earth way.” — Spring 2021 Participant

This inclusive online programme is being delivered across 15 interface areas in Belfast, and NICVA is delighted to be delivering it along with locally based partners across the city: Falls Community Council, West Belfast Partnership Board, East Belfast Community Development Agency and Forward South Partnership.

Over 500 participants have taken part so far in 36 courses across Belfast and 200 of those have received ILM Level 3 Accreditation.

This course is unique in that it brings together people from local communities, public sector agencies including the Council and government departments, and local politicians and activists, to build leadership skills and share ideas on how to make life better in interface areas

This collaborative programme is tailored to suit local need and to help participants learn skills for building solution-focused approaches that can make lasting changes in Belfast.

"A positive ‘feet on the ground’ learning experience with like minded people."

Participants on Spring TLP courses told NICVA that as well as enjoying learning new leadership skills and tools, they placed great value on working together with others from different backgrounds and sectors to make a difference.

"Excellent course, not only do you learn the academic side of leadership, but you are able to build connections with organisations in your local area."
