Charity trustees play a vital role in running charities bringing valuable skills, experience and knowledge to organisations. They have responsibility for leading and making strategic decisions while at the same time ensuring that their organisations are well-governed. We are very thankful for the many dedicated trustees that we have in Northern Ireland who lead their organisations regardless of the challenging external climate.
NICVA provides advice and guidance to trustees on an ongoing basis through online resources, advice notes, email and telephone support and governance training. Our two staff Denise and Donna have vast experience in the sector, charity law and governance issues. They have a wealth of knowledge and support hundreds of charity boards each year in best practice.
To continue with our support of Trustees we are focusing on Trustees throughout the month of November, providing learning and development opportunities through our training and special Trustees' Finance Conference.
Trustees' month events and training
We have a variety of training planned to meet the development needs of boards, including topics such as: effective chairing, good governance, HR and fundraising and a special conference for Trustees on those that advise them on Finance.
