Sarah Finnegan, Head of Compliance and Enquiries at the Charity Commission for NI, kicked off Trustees’ Week with a webinar on What does being a charity trustee mean?

She highlighted the role including the legal duties and responsibilities of a charity trustee. She outlined the importance of the governing document and how trustees must comply with it. 

Sarah also highlighted key lessons that the Commission believes trustees should focus on including tips on aspects of trustees’ meetings and being aware of the dominant trustees.
