All Party Group on the Voluntary and Community Sector

This meeting will provide an opportunity to engage directly with MLAs on key issues affecting the sector. 

Agenda items include:

• An update on the Local Growth Fund
• A presentation from Civic Threads / Pivotal on voluntary and community sector–government agreements across the UK
• Discussion on the sector’s response to the draft three-year Budget consultation

About the All Party Group

All-Party Groups (APGs) provide a forum for MLAs and external organisations to meet and discuss shared interests. The APG on the Voluntary and Community Sector focuses on the wide range of issues facing the sector — from funding and sustainability to partnership working and recognition.

The Group’s purpose is to ensure that issues affecting voluntary and community organisations are recognised and discussed throughout the Northern Ireland Assembly, strengthening the relationship between government and the sector and supporting organisations to operate to their full potential.

The APG is chaired by Diane Forsythe MLA, with NICVA acting as Secretariat.
