Artsider Northern Ireland

Artsider Northern Ireland is a new charity organisation that is a model for a creative community, guided by the belief that art and education are fundamental to human expression and that everyone is entitled to its experiences. Through Art, we seek to enhance the experiences and lives of individuals with mental health issues and learning disabilities, usually regarded as outsiders of the art world. Our aim is to promote social inclusion by giving these “outsider artists” the opportunities to participate in artworld activities such as training, workshops, exhibitions and art fairs. We also aim to support racial harmony and intercultural integration through supplemental education and lifelong learning opportunities for the emerging Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities.
