Ballycastle Church Action

The 3 main Christian denominations in Ballycastle (Catholic, Church of Ireland, Presbyterian), building on positive relationships previously developed are working together to offer appropriate service to the local community.

BCA runs a telephone alert system that makes regular phone contact with vulnerable adults for their security and wellbeing. This project provides opportunities for cross-community practical service, volunteer development and capacity building, befriending, benefits 'signposting' and advocacy support. BCA has taken advantage of funding through the Peace lll programme to run a number os successful fora and workshops on reconciliation and peace-making topics.

BCA is also keen to explore ways of encouraging initiatives with young people's support and other church and community matters.

Services

BCA will endeavour to provide a service to the residents of Ballycastle and district and those who visit the town. It will serve the needs of all people regardless of their gender, marital status, race, ethnic origin, religion, political opinion, age, sexual orientation or physical and mental capacity.
