Cairde na Cille C.I.C.

Cairde na Cille C.I.C.

Cairde na Cille is a community interest company set up by a group of heritage enthusiasts to promote the ancient history of Ulster for locals and visitors alike. We are non-profit, based in Belfast and regulated by the UK Community Interest Regulator.

All surplus funds are reinvested into heritage conservation/ preservation, cross community education, arts and culture and social regeneration linked to all our projects. We offer tours, educational programmes, special events, heritage site management and publications. Our focus is historical events that have shaped the development of our villages, towns and cities, the languages we speak and the Gaelic aspects of our heritage.

Cairde na Cille means friends of the church/churchyard or monks cell/cave from old Irish. The heritage of ancient cemeteries, early Christian and medieval monuments inspire us most!
