Cancer Focus Northern Ireland
Cancer Focus Northern Ireland
The Ulster Cancer Foundation exists to help patients and their families cope with cancer. It also works for new and better treatments for cancer, as well as helping people to reduce their risk of developing the disease.
We have over 40 years’ experience of supporting people with cancer and during that time we’ve helped men and women, with all types of cancer and at all stages of illness.
Every year in Northern Ireland around 11,200 local people get the news that they have cancer. We understand how devastating a cancer diagnosis can be.
Services
We provide a range of services from counselling to family support, art therapy to recovery yoga. These are available on a one-to-one or group basis for patients and their family members. Our therapies and activities can be tailored to meet your needs at each stage in your experience of cancer.
We know that the earlier cancer is diagnosed, the more likely we are to survive and treatment can be less aggressive. We work with men, women and children, helping them recognise the early signs of cancer, make healthy lifestyle choices and encourage everyone to take up opportunities for cancer screening.
