Charity Bank
Charity Bank
Charity Bank is an ethical bank driven to look after its customers and help charities flourish. It offers a fair rate of interest and is totally transparent about how it uses their money. Its specialist knowledge and commitment to the sector means that it has been able to provide flexible loans to support more than 1,000 charities, community organisations and social enterprises across the UK.
Based in Belfast, Charity Bank in Northern Ireland delivers on its mission by providing competitive, ethical savings accounts for individuals and organisations which in turn fund the loan finance that supports its social sector borrowers here. It provides loan funding from £50,000 up to £2.5 million, while larger loans can be arranged in partnership with other social lenders.
Patrick Minne is its Northern Ireland Manager and has been with the bank for 2 years. “As a social enterprise itself, Charity Bank understands how the social sector’s funding systems work. We know that each organisation is different and so we respond to each loan enquiry individually. We think it’s important to work with management teams and trustees to provide guidance and support that helps with business planning, as well as understanding what kind of finance is needed”.
