Comber Community Residents Group

Comber Community Residents Group

We work with all the local statutory agencies in the Ards & North Down Borough Council area in helping to improve the areas we represent in Comber. We would have fun days, cake sales, litter picking days 3 times a year with the kids. Do hampers at christmas for our local oaps. Over recent years we have worked with the NIHE in improving derelict land in the area. This piece of land is now called Ginny`s Way and is something we are very proud of as it is now a great walk way for everyone to use and it takes them to the Comber Greenway and on into Belfast.

Comber Community Residents Group exists to improve the quality of life for the residents of Comber.                                   The group was formed in 2009 due to the lack of resources and community activity which lead to the community having no pride in its self. As a group we strive to address the problems that the community bring to us, by organising and delivering a range of community activities, we are also sourcing funding to help us improve community resources and work alongside and lobby the statutory agencies to improve the local area and environment and resolve community relation issues.                    We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Comber Community Centre 1 Park Way Comber BT23 5AR.
