Down District First Response Service

The organisation will respond to 999 calls originating in an isolated rural area, and forwarded by Northern Ireland Ambulance Service control room: to offer to heart attack victims and similarly affected citizens the opportunity in the first "few golden minutes" of receiving professionally trained support to keep them alive until further medical assistance can be brought to bear.
