Eating Disorders Association NI

Eating Disorders Association NI

EDANI exists to provide support, information and understanding nationally to people with eating disorders as well as their families and friends. We endeavour to promote awareness amongst decision makers, wheather politicians, civil servants, the voluntary sector or the general public.

Our vision is  that people affected by eating disorders will have their needs met through the provision of appropriate and integrated services delivered by a range of statutory and voluntary agencies. We continue to encourage and support a multi-discplinary approach to the care of eating disorder patients.

Our mission is to challenge the root causes of eating disorders and to improve the quality of life for people affected by this devastating condition. We hope to achieve this by being proactive in meeting needs, by being successful in influencing  government policy and by promoting understanding of these disorders within society. EDANI suppiorts a process of recovery, allowing the individual to develop their own strategies in order to live a fulfilling life beyond the challenges of an eating disorder. This approach focuses on easy access to a range of support services.
