The purpose of the charity is to promote and protect the sight and eye health of people in need in Africa by:
1. Providing free or affordable eye care, including eye examinations, prescription glasses, and medical treatment, through the work of local and visiting eye care professionals.
2. Supporting the education and training of local eye care workers to enhance sustainable, high-quality eye health services in their communities.
3. Supplying essential optical and medical equipment to improve access to eye care in underserved areas.
4. Raising awareness of eye health issues and advocating for improved eye care services in partnership with local organisations and healthcare providers.
The charity will achieve these aims by working with local communities, healthcare professionals, and international volunteers to improve eye health, reduce preventable blindness, and enhance the quality of life of those affected by vision impairment.
