Holywood Music Festival

Holywood Music Festival, which celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2018, is an annual event which attracts more than 700 entries and runs for 10 days, usually in November. It offers a very wide range of classes and categories and depends heavily on experienced independent adjudicators whose feedback to the entrants is of remarkable value to them.  The members of the committee are all volunteers, giving their time and energy because they see the value and importance of the Festival, and the Festival itself runs so smoothly because it attracts the support of a much larger number of equally enthusiastic volunteers.  A vitally part of the cultural life of Holywood and beyond since its beginnings in 1948, the Festival continues to make a highly valued and widely appreciated contribution to the local community.
