Irish Language Early Years Services

• A unique Irish Language daycare/creche service for 50 0-4 yr olds
• Preschool Playgroup and wrap around childcare
• Tús Maith/Sure Start 2 yr programme ‘as Gaeilge’
• Wrap around childcare and support for nursery age children

Afterschool Services

• School closure and holiday service including summer scheme
• Purpose built afterschool unit for  over 80 registered 4-12 yr olds
• Community Outreach club for local children

Family Support Services

• Dedicated crisis support programme including respite childcare with BHSCT
• Parental support and befriending with Ardmonagh Family Centre
• SHINE Autism Support Group for Parents and Children

Beechmount Surestart

Beechmount Sure Start is a project launched in April 2009. Services include:

• Family support/signposting/health promotion/respite childcare
• Mother and toddler/stay and play/parenting classes
• Infant massage/infant support
• 2 year programme ‘as Gaeilge’

Parents Resource Centre

In partnership  with Foras na Gaeilge/Belfast Met/Queens Open Learning Centre

• New computer suite – internet access- IT courses
• Enrolment of over 160 at adult education courses
• 20 Irish language classes– beginners to‘A’ Level
• Cultural/ multi-cultural events/ethnic minority outreach projects

Outreach and Community Development/Open to all

• Multicultural events, activities and education
• Pre-employment and money management support
• Engagement with Neighbourhood Renewal/Residents Groups
