The Lifestart Foundation is a parent education organisation which aims to produce better child development outcomes by making available to parents of children 0-5 years evidence based knowledge and information on how young children develop and learn. The Lifestart Growing Child programme is delivered through local Lifestart service providers.
Our core programme – the Growing Child – delivered within the home on a monthly basis, is proven to help parents be less stressed; strengthen the relationship between parent and child; and support parents in their understanding of how a young child develops and learns. By working with parents they can support their child as they grow and develop in areas such as good speech and language, problem solving, better self-esteem and of course, prepares the child for later success in school.
The Foundation’s Head Office is based in Derry/L’derry, Northern Ireland with regional offices in the Republic of Ireland (Sligo), Macedonia and Zambia (Mazabuka). We currently support 10 franchisees to deliver the programme across Ireland, and collectively, are delivering the Lifestart programme to the parents of more than 13,000 children.
