Parents Education as Autism Therapists

PEAT is a parent-led charity that provides practical behaviour support to all families across Northern Ireland who wish to avail of behaviour analytic intervention in their home environment.

PEAT exists to help children and young people with autism realise their potential by providing Applied Behaviour Analysis training and support to their parents and carers. Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically proven approach, tailored to individual needs, offering a choice to parents and professionals.

PEAT also provides training to organisations/agencies working directly with individuals with autism spectrum disorder.

Services

Current Services provided by PEAT include home visits for ABA home programmes by Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (www.bacb.com), parent training, social skills group and supervised play for children/young people with autism and their siblings, support and advice, consultancy and in-house training for professionals and other organisations.
