Pretty n Pink Breast Cancer Charity

Pretty n Pink Breast Cancer Charity

Founded in 2006 by Noleen Adair, Pretty n Pink is the only registered Breast Cancer charity in Northern Ireland. It is run by a very small team of people and local volunteers from across the province. All the funds raised go directly back to Breast Cancer patients and their families in Northern Ireland.

Services

Cancer can place huge finaincial strains upon patients and their families, and everyday practicalities that we may take for granted when we are healthy can be more difficult for those going through cancer.

Since Pretty 'n' Pink was founded, the charity has been supporting breast cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland in a financial capacity through small grants dispersed from the Pretty 'n' Pink Support Fund.

In the past Pretty 'n' Pink funds have been used in an number of ways such as:

  • Help with travel costs to relieve strain placed upon family providing transport.
  • Help to employ a private cleaning firm to relieve the pressure of housework demands placed upon the children of a patient during cancer treatment.
  • Weekend breaks away to enable couples / families to spend quality time together.
  • Funds to enable patients to receive complementary therapies in their own local areas.
  • Financial support to families under pressure from reduction in income as a result of a cancer diagnosis.
  • Help toward mortgage payments or rent arrears.

Many other families have benefitted from respite breaks, cookery courses, funds for a social evening, and help out of financial difficulty.
