Services
In 1965 we responded to growing coastal development threats by launching our Neptune Coastline Campaign. 50 years on and we now protect and manage over 775 miles of our nations precious coast, including over 100 miles (22%) of the coast that you love and enjoy around Northern Ireland.
We’ve teamed up with the British Library and the National Trust for Scotland to create the UK’s first ever coastal sound map. We’re asking you to record and share your favourite sounds of our shores to help build a crowd-sourced soundscape of the nation’s coastline.
National Trust is a conservation charity that protects over 350 historic houses, 160 gardens, 1,100km of coastline, 254,000 hectares of land of outstanding natural beauty, 6 World Heritage Sites, 28 castles and 60 pubs - let's not forget the pubs. Then, we open them up to everyone, to enjoy for ever.
But it doesn’t stop there. We also look after forests, woods, fens, beaches, farmland, downs, moorland, islands, archaeological remains, castles, nature reserves, villages - for ever, for everyone.
