Trocaire

Trocaire, the Catholic Agency for World Development, was set up by the Bishops of Ireland in 1973. Their two main aims are to help those in need in developing countries and to make Irish people more aware of those needs and duty in justice towards them.

We envisage a just world where people’s dignity is ensured, rights are respected and basic needs are met; where there is equity in the sharing of resources and people are free to be the authors of their own development.
