This course will provide you with the skills to plan, schedule, and manage projects effectively.  You will define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and schedules, while managing risks and stakeholder expectations. You will also learn what is the Theory of Change (ToC) and how and why a desired change is expected to occur, linking activities to long-term goals through clearly defined outcomes. An interactive course that will suit anyone interested in project planning or if you are already involved in managing projects and want to update your knowledge and skills or gain recognition as a Project Manager.  We can provide ILM accreditation as this session can form part of a level 3 ILM Leadership and management qualification.  This will be discussed once you complete the session. 

 

What you will learn on the day:

  • Project Scheduling and Time Management: Learn to break down project work, and use tools like Gantt charts and work breakdown structures
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and compile a risk register
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strategies to communicate effectively and manage relationships with team members
  • The Theory of Change:  A structured framework for identifying desired outcomes and determining the activities required to achieve them
  • Budgeting and Scope Control: Plan budgets, monitor costs, and control project scope to deliver projects on time and within budget
