OCN Level 3 Award in Learning and Development

The OCN Level 3 Award in Learning and Development is designed for individuals who wish to enhance their skills in training and development. This qualification provides an introduction to the essential skills and knowledge required to deliver effective training programmes to others. It is particularly suitable for those who are currently involved in or aspire to work in learning and development roles and training/trainers positions.

The key objectives of this award are as follows:

Understanding Learning Principles: Learners will gain insights into the principles and practices of learning and development
Training Session Structuring: The course covers how to structure a training session effectively
Overcoming Learning Barriers: Participants will learn strategies to overcome barriers to learning and enhance their delivery skills
Resource Development: The qualification includes developing and preparing resources for learning and development plans

Course Structure and Requirements

Credits: To achieve the Level 3 Award, learners must complete one unit for a total of 3 credits
Duration: The course runs from 10am - 1pm over 4 weeks and includes a micro teaching session

A link to the Induction session will be sent out to those registered at least 24 hours ahead of the session

Progression Opportunities

Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Award, learners can progress to the Level 3 Certificate in Learning and Development and Leadership and Management qualifications.
