Looking for a role where you can strengthen communities, support organisations to grow, and help deliver programmes that make a real difference across Northern Ireland?

NICVA is the membership and representative body for the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland. We support organisations to do their best work and ensure the sector's voice is heard where it matters. We have recently launched an ambitious new five-year strategy focused on strengthening the sector's resilience, leadership, skills and sustainability in a changing political, economic and social environment.

As part of NICVA's Sector Support team, you will coordinate and support the delivery of programmes that strengthen the capacity of community, faith-based community development and diverse organisations. Working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and sector networks, you will help plan and deliver engagement activity, training, networking opportunities and events that respond to identified sector needs.

You will play a key role in coordinating programme activity, maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, supporting organisations to identify development needs, and ensuring robust monitoring, evaluation and reporting. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of NICVA's programmes by identifying emerging needs and helping shape responsive support for the voluntary and community sector.

The role would suit someone who is highly organised, enjoys bringing people together and has experience coordinating projects or programmes involving multiple stakeholders. You will bring excellent communication and relationship-building skills, experience of supporting programme delivery, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Salary: NICVA Grade H (NJC Points 26–28), £37,280–£39,152 per annum (Candidates are normally appointed at the beginning of the scale.)
Contract: Full-time (35 hours per week)

What's in it for you?

  • Hybrid working with NICVA offices in Belfast
  • Generous leave, pension and wellbeing support
  • The opportunity to work alongside community, faith-based community development and diverse organisations across Northern Ireland
  • A role within a collaborative, values-driven organisation
