Julie works for The Executive Office (TEO) and completed the TLP course in North Belfast in April – May 2021.

On the 24th June the Department for Health, in partnership with NICVA will host an engagement event for stakeholders across the community and voluntary sector on the development of an Advance Care Planning Policy for Adults in NI.  

In June 2021, Sarah Travers hosted an event in Strand Arts Centre with NICVA and EBCDA, celebrating the participation and achievements of the Communities in Transition: Building Capacity Programme in east Belfast.

As part of NICVA's Communities in Transition: Building Capacity in East Belfast, the Greenway Legacy Programme was developed as a pilot project by EastSide Greenway, in partnership with EBCDA's Youth Practioners' Forum.

On the 17th May NICVA hosted an information session for voluntary and community sector organisations on the recently launched UK Community Renewal Fund and how delivery of the fund shall operate in Northern Ireland.

NICVA's recently hosted an engagement event with the Department of Health in relation to the departments current public consultation on policy proposals to implement a Duty of Candour for Health and Social Care (HSC).

JobStart is a new employer incentive scheme from the Department for Communities that will help young people at risk of long term unemployment to get into the job market by providing government funding for employers to create job opportunities.

NICVA has prepared its response to the independent review of charity regulation.  Closing date for receipt of responses is Wednesday 12 May 2021.
