Covid 19 Response

On Wednesday 9th December, NICVA hosted a major webinar with Communities Minister Carál Ní Chulín and DfC Permanent Secretary Tracy Meharg who collectively took stock of the impacts and lessons from the Covid-19 crisis.

During the initial months of the coronavirus pandemic many organisations and businesses face unprecedented changes and obstacles to their normal work. 

UK public participation charity, Involve, have recently launched a handbook for Local Government on engaging purposefully and meaningfully with their communities.

The BT8 Coronavirus Community Outreach group mostly covers the BT8 area including Carryduff, Newtownbreda and Four Winds. Michelle Guy, a founder member of the group, talked to NICVA’s Helen McLaughlin about the group’s experience.
