NICVA recently hosted an Information webinar on the campaign to develop a regional Mutual Bank in Northern Ireland.

The National Joint Council for Local Government Services pay agreement has been confirmed, with a cost of living increase of 2.75% from 01 April 2020.

Between September 2020 and May 2021, NICVA worked with The Community Foundation for NI and Department for Communities to deliver the Accelerator Programme. 

Following a difficult six months for the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland, the next year could see a further reduction in vital services, underlining the crucial need for ongoing and future support for the sector.

In August, NICVA surveyed their membership of over 1000 voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in Northern Ireland. 

Over two thirds of voluntary and community sector organisations have reported  a loss of income despite an increased demand for their services according to a recent study carried out by NICVA.

NICVA’s Faith Engagement Project has played a key role in facilitating ongoing consultations with a range of faith leaders and the NI Executive. 

The new Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) Panel for the 2020-23 term of the Joint Government and Voluntary Sector Forum  has recently been confirmed. The panel held their first meeting (virtually) on Friday the 11th September.
