The Wheel and the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA) launched iCommunity: A Vision for Addressing Challenges on our Shared Island in Dublin on 3 October.

The Developing Governance Group in association with the Charity Commission would like to invite you to free seminars focusing on governance and an update on charity regulation. 

NICVA is seeking meetings with Ministers on the impacts of the cost of living crisis on the voluntary and community sector following discussions with sector representatives and relevant Government Departments.

A new capacity building accelerator programme, exclusively for recipients of the Department of Health's Cancer, Carers and Mental Health Funds, has been launched.

With the spiralling cost of fuel NICVA have been approached by several charities about the implications of increasing the mileage allowance paid to staff and volunteers.

We are delighted to launch our partnership with Ability Café, a social enterprise which recently won the tender to cater for meetings and conferences at NICVA  

The members’ survey was disseminated in May 2022 to heads of member organisations, with a response rate of 12%. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond, we really appreciate it. 

The Transformative Leadership Programme (TLP) has been running for over two and a half years in Belfast. It was part of the Transform for Change programme delivered by Belfast City Council and funded by Peace IV.

Martina works with Harper's Yard community pop up café and did the TLP in the Lower Ormeau and Markets area of South Belfast in Spring 2022.

NICVA Staff and Executive Committee are once again delighted to have retained Investors in People Gold for the fourth time.  NICVA was first recognised as Investors in People in 2005 and has held Gold-level accreditation since 2012.

The Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2022 received Royal Assent on 26 April 2022.
